Gallagher Museum Services (GMS) represents the strategic planning division of G&A. The GMS team are experts in the field of museum feasibility studies and interpretive master planning. Additional services include operational advisory, owners’ representation, operational management, and traveling exhibition tour management. The foundation of a successful museum project begins with an interpretive master plan that will outline the visitor experience and connect the experiences to the organization’s mission, collections, and educational goals. Feasibility studies review and assess current operations and financial situation and offer recommendations on how to improve. Master planning presents a roadmap to the client's project development and/or expansion of the institution including attendance estimates, staffing needs and “right-sizing”. Our operational advisory and consulting services aids clients with financial sustainability and provides unique insight and guidance to become more profitable. GMS’s traveling exhibit tour management gives clients a turn-key solution to operating traveling exhibitions including contract negotiations, installation management, and day-to-day operations.
