Visual Design Intern
New York City

We are looking for a visual design intern to join our New York based digital team to help with the creation of interactive storytelling experiences in physical and digital spaces. This position will cover all phases of media production working collaboratively with internal design teams to form a complete understanding of our creative process.
We are looking for an organized, motivated and detail-oriented person who enjoys working in a collaborative design environment with a tight-knit team. From day one you will be working with fellow designers, developers and producers throughout a range of project phases, including in-depth research and concepting, design exploration, low-fidelity prototyping, through to the final stages of design production.

Qualifications include; responsible for supporting the conceptual development, direction and delivery of visual design, a solid foundation in design and visual communications as well as the ability to translate design direction across multiple platforms and a wide range of media contexts, must demonstrate strong visual design skills, careful attention to detail and a solid understanding of user-centered experience principles, a fluency within common design software libraries (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch) as well as prototyping software (Invision), prior experiences with VR/AR, 3D, projection mapping and motion design is a plus, awareness and interest in new media, emerging technologies, and design trends, ability to work on and contribute to a high performing team, work collaboratively, receive and give critical feedback, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to confidently and successfully present work to internal teams, effective time management skills to balance schedules and deadlines, availability 18 hours (for part-time) or up to 40 hours (full-time) per week and a solid formal academic background in Graphic Design, Media Design or related field; working towards an advanced degree, if not already newly graduated is a plus.

Responsibilities include; applying the best design aesthetics and manage the quality of design throughout all phases of a project, iterating designs based on findings and tech constraints, helping to refine and further develop concepts into complete, functional design systems, ability to communicate ideas and design rationale both verbally and visually, be a participant in brainstorms and help shepherd concepts at every stage of the project, push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching interactive and linear media storytelling and assisting with project deliverables for presentations and client meetings.

Technical Designer
Singapore

Our Singapore studio is seeking an experienced 3D designer/drafter to join our growing design studio in Singapore, who has ability to create detailed shop & construction drawings; create organized drawing sets for permanent and temporary museum exhibition design projects, specifically “mill-work.”

Main responsibilities include; managing multiple projects from design development, construction documents to creation and review of shop drawings, creating Construction Documentation Packages, creating and building 3D models from CAD files (Revit/BIM a plus), preparing design details to museum standards, including archival requirements, collaborating with designers, sub-consultants and fabricators to complete work within deadlines, assisting in developing or revising design standards and/or specifications, and assisting with on-site supervision of construction phase.

Required skills are as follows; proficient in AutoCAD 2008 or higher (5 years minimum), Revit BIM a plus, 3D software – Sketchup and 3D StudioMax preferred, knowledge of museum exhibition manufacturing techniques preferred, knowledge of archival casework standards preferred, knowledge of detailing interface with lighting and media, trade show work experience is not valid for this position, and Quantity Survey (QS) and Cost Estimating capabilities a huge plus.

Our Singapore Studio is looking for a highly motivated Senior Graphic Designer with experience working on exhibitions and/or other spatial design mediums and plenty of design studio experience under their belt. This person should have a passion for design, a great attitude for working with a team and intuitive people skills with clients and mentoring junior designers.

The Senior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Design Director and the creative team to design, coordinate and oversee design, production and installation of exhibit graphics for museums around Asia. This talented and goal oriented person would play a leadership role in creating memorable visitor experiences for museums, interpretive centers and visitor centers across Asia.

Main responsibilities include; leading graphic projects and mentoring junior designers, reporting to Design Director, developing graphic standards and hierarchies per project style and content, attending internal and client meetings to understand the content and materials available to bring the exhibition graphic elements to life both interpretively and creatively.

Required skills include; high level of fluency with Adobe CS Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), MS Office or Keynote, demonstrating a keen eye for graphic design and typography, understanding of Interaction Design processes and guidelines

Optional skills or working knowledge in; identity and branding design, indoor/outdoor wayfinding signage design is a plus.

Our Singapore Studio is looking for a highly motivated Exhibit Designer with plenty of design studio experience under their belt, working on exhibitions and/or other spatial design mediums with a can do attitude.

The Senior Exhibit Designer will work closely with the Design Director to design, coordinate and integrate exhibits, graphics and media concepts into the overall physical needs of the space. In addition, the Senior Exhibit Designer will play a key role in developing effectively the storyline and interpretative goals of the project.

Main responsibilities include; develop designs, including interactive experiences, 3-D exhibit elements, interiors, artifact displays, and, from conceptual stage through final drawings, develop drawing packages, including construction drawings, maintaining work flow in accordance with project schedule, with a variety of tasks and deadlines, managing and delegating tasks to junior designers, and guide the design process to achieve project goals, working in a team environment including sub-contractors, and client contacts, developing and illustrating design concepts through a variety of mediums, including hand sketches and computer renderings and traveling to meetings and site visits as required by projects.
